Early Registration for Fall 2007

Early registration for the Fall 2007 semester has begun.  If you are ready to register, please send me your registration request to gmbaadvising@utdallas.edu Your request must come from your UTD email address to allow me to process it.  Payment for early registration is due July 24, 2007.

Summer 2007 Graduation Application Due

If you will be graduating this Summer 2007 semester, you will need to submit a graduation application by May 22, 2007.  You will find the application and instructions on how to apply at the Graduate Studies website.   Please contact me by May 22, 2007 if you are having issues submitting the application.  Students who do not submit their application by this deadline will be charged a $100 late fee.

Proctored Exams - Get Started Early

Hi guys. Hope your semester is starting out well. About half of you are taking classes that require a proctored final exam. (Ethics students, you have both a proctored Midterm and Final.) I strongly recommend that you get this done early. Below are some useful links you should use in preparing for your proctored exam(s).

• Proctored Exam General Information - Procedures and important links related to Proctored Exams.
• Interactive Proctor Locations Map - Lists all testing locations used by our students to date. Keep in mind, you’re not limited to only using these locations. If you find a testing center not listed on this map, we’ll add it when we receive your proctored exam form.
• Proctored Exam Form - This form is to be submitted by all students planning to take the exam outside of the scheduled in-class exam period listed in your syllabus. The student fills out and signs the top portion; the proctor fills out and signs the bottom portion.

Welcome to Summer 2007 Online Courses

Greetings! A welcome email message has been sent out today May 11 to all students who had enrolled in one or more Summer 2007 GMBA and AIM online courses by May 11, 10 am. The message was sent to both your UTD email account and your personal email address. If you haven’t received this email (it could be filtered to your junk mail folder) or if you have registered the online courses after that time, please check out the welcome message here for important course access instructions and other information. As a reminder, you will only be able to see the Summer 2007 courses from Monday May 14, 12 am when the Summer 2007 semester officially starts.

Classes will be available Monday

Hi folks. I always get this question right before the semester begins, so I wanted to just send a reminder. Your online Summer classes will be made available on Monday, May 14, when classes begin. Sometimes the folks in Information Resources get the classes up a little early (maybe Sunday some time during the day/evening); however, if you don’t see your Summer classes listed in WebCT this weekend, don’t worry. They’ll show up bright and early on Monday. Let me know if you have any questions.

Summer Tuition Due May 10, 2007

The registration payment deadline for Summer 12-week and 1st 6-week sessions is May 10, 2007. Don’t forget to make your payment by that day. For information about payment options or payment plans, please contact the Office of the Bursar. You must make payment arrangements with the Bursar Office on or before the close of business May 10, 2007 in order to avoid the possibility of being dropped from classes or incurring late fees.

Textbook list for Summer 2007

Good morning! In case you don’t know this, every semester, we’ve been posting the textbook list (including ISBN’s) for students to use to find their texts for each semester. To find the list, please go to the Course Offerings page for the semester you wish to look up, and you’ll see a link near the top labeled “View Textbook List”. Summer 2007 is currently available. I’m working on Fall’s list and will post something in the blog when I get that up.

Core Courses Filling Up

If you have not submitted your registration request for Summer 2007, and you are interested in online MBA core courses, I recommend you submit your registration request by this Friday May 4th. The courses are quickly reaching their maximum capacity, and on Monday May 7th, I will be registering non-MBG students in these courses. Most of them will most likely close on that day.
