If you will be graduating this Fall 2009 semester, you must remember to submit a graduation application by August 31st.  If you have not done so, please contact gmbaadvising@utdallas.edu

Summer Late Graduation Application

Today is the last day to submit a late graduation application for Summer 2009.  If you are planning on graduating this summer semester, but have not submitted a graduation application, you must send an email to gmbaadvising@utdallas.edu today.  Applications will no longer be accepted after today.

Registering Fall 2009 GMBA Online Courses

Fall 2009 semester is starting in just a few weeks. If you haven’t registered for our online courses yet, please send in your registration request to gmbaadvising@utdallas.edu right now before the courses get full!

The Global MBA program is offering more than 20 online courses in Fall 2009. Here are just a few of interesting online courses available for you to consider while you’re registering for Fall 2009.

FIN 6310.0G1, Investment Management, by Dr. Ted Day

The course examines a range of issues concerning the management of investment portfolios. The course objective is to provide an understanding of the role of modern financial theory in portfolio management and to present a framework for addressing current issues in the management of financial assets. The concepts and techniques examined are also useful in financial planning and personal investment decisions.

IMS 6320.0G1, International Corporate Finance, by Dr. Jonathan Hochberg

The global business environment is such that managers with international know-how will be invaluable to their organizations. Knowledge of international financial issues is expansive and varies from hedging profits in a foreign currency to protecting against foreign exchange exposure. In this course students will learn how to deal with issues faced by managers operating in the global financial markets. The purpose of this course is to analyze the critical factors, risks, and decisions that relate to both the short-term and long-term financial position of the firm in an internationalized setting and discuss strategies for dealing with these added complexities.

MKT 6330.0G1, Brand Management, by Abhi Biswas

This course will study the role and philosophy of brand management in the strategic marketing process and the resulting effects on strategic and marketing decisions.  Topics will include the strategic brand building process, segmentation and positioning for building brands, consumer behavior, brand information systems, building brand equity and the application of brand management using marketing principles.

Registration Fall 2009

Early registration for Fall 2009 is currently taking place.  If you are ready, you can send your registration request to gmbaadvising@utdallas.edu from your UTD email account.  You can access your email through Galaxy.  Your class schedule will show up in the new student system ORION.

Graduating Spring 2009?

If you are planning on graduating Spring 2009, you must submit a graduation application by January 21st, 2009.  You can find the application on the Graduate Dean’s site.  Make sure to read the instructions before submitting the application.

Spring 2009 Registration

Global MBA and MS AIM online students who are planning on registering for the Spring 2009 semester should register by December 15th.  After that date, campus students will gain access to online core MBA courses.  This means these courses will most likely fill up.  Please send your registration requests to gmbaadvising@utdallas.edu

Graduating Spring 2009?

If you are planning on graduating this Spring 2009 semester, you should verify that you will meet all the requirements by requesting a degree audit from your advisor.  To do so, you can send an email to gmbaadvising@utdallas.edu It is also a good idea to register early to avoid any problems with courses closing/filling up.  Early registration will begin this Monday November 4th.

Registration Starting Soon

Early registration for both the Spring 2009 and Summer 2009 semesters will begin November 4th.  The Global MBA site has been updated to show the online course options.  The complete course schedule will be available starting Monday October 27th.  Remember that to register for online courses you must send an email to gmbaadvising@utdallas.edu from your UTD email account.  Also, make sure to review the Academic Calendar for both semesters to be aware of all important academic deadlines.

Graduation Application Due

If you are graduating this Fall 2008, you must submit a graduation application by this Friday August 29, 2008.  You can find the application, along with instructions, at the bottom of the Graduate Dean’s website.  There is no fee if you submit it by this Friday.  If you do not, you will need to pay a $100 late fee.

Last Days to Register

The last day of Regular Registration is August 19th.  You must register and pay by that day if you do not want to encounter any late fees.  Late Registration will begin August 20th and end August 28th.  Students will be assessed a minimum $100 late payment fee if they register during Late Registration.  Information about registration deadlines is posted on the Academic Calendar.
